I am watching Roswell season one for the first time in about six years. And I just. I cannot even. OMG ROSWELL I LOVE YOU.
My love for Roswell is non-verbal. My love for Roswell cannot be expressed in mere words. I must express it in flailing and by quoting. "I PREFER THE TERM NOT OF THIS EARTH."

I used to write Roswell fic, a very long time ago. I'm so tempted to rework some of it and repost.
I've always been a Candy. From the very beginning, I've loved Michael and Maria; individually and as a couple. Maria is quirky and enthusiastic and a flake but she's so dependable and so awesome, and she sort of tries to take life as it comes and fucking leap; Michael is surly and a bitch and predictable and he loves her so, so much. And their relationship is totally not healthy, not healthy at all, but my fuck I love them.
ANYWAY, I don't get Dreamers, okay? Have never understood Max/Liz. Defining part of my existence as a Roswell fangirl. But here I am, rewatching the first season, and I like Max/Liz. I'm kind of seeing why it works and why people like it. OMG SOMEONE STOP ME.
It hurts, watching these early episodes, knowing what happens in SEASON THREE OF CRACK.
Roswell was always just about pretty teenagers living their lives, much like Dawson's Creek or The OC. But some of them are also aliens.
And, much like the cast of Firefly, you just want to ship everyone with everyone else.
