I just did a little tidying of my flist, fiddling with my filters and removing some people and things. ANYWAY, whilst I was doing this, I noticed heaps of ljs have me friended, and I don't know who they are. Of course I see the number of 'friend of' creeping up, but I never know who these ljs are, and I'm not really an automatic friender, so.

This is me: I'm Pen, I live in Australia. I love Narnia and Children of Dune and The Pretender, and approximately one million other tiny fandoms (and also BSG). I write fic, and love looking at pretty pictures. In this journal, I try to keep things relatively light, nothing but meandering meta (and mindless squee) regarding the texts I enjoy, and the occasional rambling as to my nationality and my ethnicity and my sport.

Hi! I'm Jodie, I'm from Trinidad, currently in college in the US and I friended you b/c you write awesome Pretender fic and I don't have enough Pretender fans on my flist :) I'm a lapsed fic writer/poster,am fanatical about an insane amount of tv shows current obsessions include Prison Break and Bones, I recently broke up with BSG but I doubt hard feelings will remain come the premiere (since it's 8 months away!!) though so who knows.I really liked Dune, am a huge Duncan/Alia shipper and I confess I've yet to read any of the Narnia books but I quite liked the movie *L*

At any time I'm quite likely to create connections/crossovers where there really should not be. Like Ms. Parker could be distantly related to Cordelia Chase and blow into LA to visit and run into Sydney Bristow who would be working with Jarod on blowing the lid off some government conspiracy and I'll stop now :) My favourite though is trying to come up with connections for when actors who used to be on one show appear on another as different characters, I like to think up ways for them to still be the same person. :)

Hallo :-> I'm Julianna but everyone calls me Jules (the dh and a couple of friends call me Lee... there were alot of Julies around, growing up lol), and I hail from The Great White North (aka Canada). I fell over LJ a year and a half ago while looking for fanfic for BSG (I was a voracious FFer for a different fandom: Jason/Elizabeth from the US soap General Hospital and it suddenly occured to me that maybe there was FF for BSG. Boy, was there. :->) and found not only great FF here, but good meta for BSG as well, which was great since I had no one to discuss BSG with in real life (no one I knew watched - this has since changed drastically - yay!).

I think I found you through leda13's journal. If I remember correctly, I really enjoyed your (and stars_like_dust's) fics, especially PILOTS. I am a total FF snob, considering I have a BA in English writing and communications from half a million years ago, and I can tell 1-2 paragraphs into a story if something is well written or sucks. (LOL there's the snob coming out to play.) I don't write or beta any FF myself anymore - time, energy and real life issues - but there's nothing like sitting down at the computer with a tall glass of something frosty and a sandwich, and chatting with friends on the other side of the world about fannish glees.

I enjoy not only your BSG FF and BSG related posts, but you've sucked me into your other fic (a talented writer has talent in writing just about anything LOL), and I find your posts about Down Under / Australia interesting, as well; in fact, the one you wrote yesterday about your heritage/nationality/racism-stereotype was verra illuminating, and reminded me of conversations I've had with my in-laws (my dh is American, from NY), who I consider to be pseudo-racist, as well.

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm pretty sure I friended you for the fic. It's generally more about good writing than specific shows/characters for me, so something of yours probably struck a chord and I hit the friend button.

I'm from Boston, MA in the US. I've been to Australia and would love to go back again as the country and people were both wonderful. My current fannish interests are Heroes and Eureka, although I'll read nearly anything that's well written. Sadly, most of the fandoms I really enjoyed in the past are on the decline as the shows have gone away. There's also House, but that fandom breaks the crazy meter daily. My favorite hobby is cooking which is why most of the public posts on my journal are recipes. I'm eating warm popovers right now.

Hi, I'm Gwyn. I'm in Arizona. I don't actually remember why I friended you in the first place, or if I ever said hi back then, but since I currently discovered The Pretender, it's for that. (Maybe it was BSG? I think so. Only now I'm about a season behind, so I'm on hiatus on BSG fic.)

I hardly ever update any more since I'm crazy busy with my AI classes (to teach the robots that take over the world to speak grammatically correct English), and I never write fic, so it is totally and completely unnecessary to friend me back.

Hi, I'm Alex, and I'm a university student in Texas who's about to head off to law school. I friended you a long time ago, probably from BSG (which I'm sort of no longer in love with), but I also love The Pretender like crazy, so... Yeah. I have a bunch of tv addictions at the moment, though they're currently on the back burner because of class stuff. (I'm also addicted to knitting, which is never on the back burner.)
