Just when I'm worrying that she let Jarod slip through her fingers, that his escape was her (unintentional) mistake, she says, Next time, do your homework. Jarod's allergic to pistachios, and I realise how much I love her.



OH CRAP and now we're on the way to the Zoe episode. UGH. WHATEVER.

For reasons of fic, I just re-watched the first Pretender movie, and was bouncing happily as she wrenched at Lyle's thumb. Very similar to the almost-choking-on-paper bit there. He really does get some kind of perverse thrill out of her abusing him, doesn't he?

And Zoe... The funny thing is, the first time through, I liked this ep. It's just such a Mary Sue. But now, partly because the Yellow Brick Road bits annoy me so much, and partly because Zoe's behavior is so *lame*, I have a much more difficult time watching it.

Then again, Jarod in an undershirt and handcuffs. You can not get better than that.

He does get a very perverse thrill out of her abusing him, and I think it's part of what makes their relationship so fascinating. They're siblings, but they have this weird sexual thing going on, and he's so inappropriate and twisted and I LOVE their relationship. Just like her relationship with Jarod, it's an illustration of how horrible the Centre is.
