i want to write about Dune, or about the Pretender. meta or fic, feel free to prompt me. and tell me if you've written anything lately or read anything good, i'll be honest, today is the first time i've read my flist in about four weeks, and i didn't get very far.

prince caspian doesn't open for another two weeks, and at this point i'm mostly spoiler-free, and afeared that i'll miss all the good fic in the next two weeks.

hmmm, Pretender, something funny with Parker that doesn't involve Broots? I dunno. Failing that, any of the following words: drift, spiral, coalesce, accumulate, metamorphosis, disco, frivolous, crescendo.

Things I've read-- lovely meta-fic by sam_the_storyteller, AU version of Torchwood set in Chicago.

Kirbyfest has an amusing little Pretender ficlet in her lj.

I'm working on Pretender fic, but it's my reward for finishing real pro fic, so might be a while. Unless you want to read what I've got so far, and I know how frustrating most people find WiPs.

YES but unlikely. When are you going to go see it? Am assuming that you'll see it in the week it comes out and that happens to be study break so yeah, not so much with the doing anything other than studying. =/ My exams finish on 23rd June so will go see it sometime after that [ALONG WITH INDIANA JONES OHYEAH]. Also, have you watched Iron Man? My flist has provided glowing reviews so am thinking I should watch that too.

Hmmmm, Pretender... did you know they have it on hulu? I'm thinking about starting a re-watch.

Hmmm, promptyness - Parker and Jarrod...in an country not their own...neither can get the ultimate upper hand...one of parker's bag lost in transit with her fabulous shoes...jarod trying to get justice for...I don't know, orphans who have been taken in by an old wise woman who lives on the edge of a rain forest that someone is trying to develop...this is why I would not make a fab writer of pretender fic. Please give jarod better motivation than I can.

As for Dune, what would have happened if Paul's sister hadn't been driven mad? Or Irulan not poisoned Chanee? Or Chanee not died? Those are three different things, but as I'm not much on anything outside the original, those are the things that interest me. I'm probably spelling things wrong, sorry.

Uhm, yeah, I'm good just constantly busy. I'm doing this funny thing in my head where I acknowledge that fandom was fun, and still is fun, but I have so many other things to do that I've had to prioritise it as quite low, and then when I do have time for it I find myself uninspired by fandom happenings.

I still love the Pretender, though, and Dune, so that's nice. :o)
