"The big businesses would have you believe that artificial sweeteners are a healthy alternative to sugar, but I'll have you know that -"
"If you're going to tell me that they're carcinogenic," Fin says, interrupting Munch's tirade and slapping a hand onto his shoulder, "I'm going to ask who you are and what you've done with John Munch, because everyone knows that. You're supposed to be on the cutting edge of conspiracy theories, my man. Are you losing your touch?"
Munch is, for once, at a loss for words, and from across the room Elliot and Olivia laugh.
Fin drops his hand from Munch's shoulder like maybe he forgot there were other people in the room.
"Let's go, guys. Olivia's buying."
Olivia hits Elliot. "Yeah right I am. I believe it's your turn, Elliot."
He gives this shit-eating grin and holds out her jacket. She takes it from him and grins back.
Fin and Munch share looks at this exchange, and Fin shrugs. It's not like they're in any position to judge.
"Well, maybe I can buy one round."
"Excellent. Come on," he says, and raises his voice. "You don't want to miss Olivia paying for all the expensive drinks."
Later, Munch drives Fin home, and no one is there to notice when he gets invited up for coffee and a conspiracy theory.
