Okay, so I finished watching season two of East West 101.
Hey remember that time you were watching Water Rats, and you got to the last episode of the season and you discovered that Goldie's boyfriend was the killer?
This is how I feel right now. I expected some sort of revelation about Skerritt, but I didn't expect him to be the catalyst/instigator of basically all of the shit that went down.
Sucks to be Wright, and her dead/criminal boyfriends.
I am madly in love with Lim, whose Cantonese is as stilted and unsure as my own.
I want to see more of Callas.
Sonny is the best.
And Zane, I'm glad he didn't HAVE AN AFFAIR or anything, even though he was QUITE RIDICULOUS, and I'm hoping that he and Amina get back together. BECAUSE I LOVE THEM.
I love watching this show. The themes it explores are kind of unexpected - a little heavy handed at times, but things I don't expect to see on television. It even hinged on this dissonance of being born in Australia but constantly being made to feel other, like it's not home. And it talked about the role of the self in over coming that, and it just aslkdjafsjf. amazing.
My word watching this show is exhausting.
Hey LJ sorry for posting to you so much today.
