I don't know. I guess you're right, but then having only watched a couple of episodes of BSG (something I do honestly intend to rectify at some point), Kara and Lee are vague to me. I know the character archetypes is about all I can say.
You seem to be most interested in conveying the finely detailed nuances of power, action and thought in relationships/sex, which admittedly is not the greatest large scale subject matter for conventional fiction in any form. It works well though. I mean, I've read dozens of published novels that had sex scenes that were less interesting and well-written than this fic, even if that doesn't mean that enjambing it end-to-end several hundred times would result in a publishable thingummy.
I just reckon you could probably do it, and it'd be cute to see a friend's name on the spine of something down at Dymocks. With your interesting domain knowledge (archery, Indo women's situation, etc.) I'm sure you have the source material for a good novel.
