look, imagine someone was writing a stealth/bsg crossover, and they needed a name for the ship that henry, kara and ben served on. and ordinarily they'd cheat and use the actual name but that actual name is the 'abraham lincoln' and that might be a little too specific, so.

what would the ship be called?

It has always been a goal of mine in fiction to name a ship "Edmund Fitzgerald Jr"

I'd go with somethign like "Theseus" or "Erichthonius" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erichthonius_of_Athens) that plays on the kings of Athens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kings_of_Athens). One of them has to be a tyrant (in the Greek sense) who did his utmost to ensure the survival of the city. And given the Greek myth inherent in all of BSG, it would work way better than any use of American history.
