I am at work, but:

Reply to this post using an icon in a fandom you know I write for, and I'll write a ficlet based on it for you.

This offer is good until I get home from archery this afternoon. bored.

Do you know how tempting this is? Or how much it makes me want to poke LJ for not telling me upload this (until I renew my extra icons space)?

Archery sounds interesting. It's one fo those things I always wanted to try but couldn't find a class for. (And was kind of worried that I'd smack myself in the face with the bowstring.)

Ah, I might give it a go with the icon you've yet to upload anyway.

And archery is fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. And trust me, you only smack yourself in the face once. :o)

That would be very cool.

How did/how long have you been into it? It's the once that scares me. ;)

I first got into archery about two years ago, but I've only been shooting seriously (like, regular training) for about six months. I started because my partner's family are all archers, and I thought that sounded like a great sport to try. And it was.

It's actually pretty difficult to smack yourself in the face with a bowstring. Even the first time you pick up a bow, you have someone there telling you what to do, and the force of the string sends it flying back towards the bow, not towards your face. You're more likely to hit your arm - but that's why all archers wear arm guards. Even the professionals.

You should totally try archery. Every club (okay, in Australia at least) runs classes of some sort.

Well, I only have two fandom icons at the moment, and I don't know if you do Stargate, so let's go with this one.

For some reason, I thought you had a paid account. I could have sworn you had a lot of icons.

I had a paid account. I had a paid account with extra iconage. Slowly, all these things ran out, and although I do have the money, I considered whether I really wanted/needed all those icons - the only things, really, I used all that expenditure of money for - and decided that no, I didn't really. (I didn't say anything about it because it always seems like begging, no matter how you do it, and I didn't want anyone else to buy me more stuff, because I can afford it, I just choose not to.)

I have fleeting moments of regret, but they are fleeting, and this means I have less impulse to make icons and thus waste good writing time.

So, back to the point. Playful!Jack fic? *looks hopeful!*
