Yesterday, Fahye posted three things making her happy, and asked people to do the same in the comments. So I did, only I have found that since I did that, I have been unable to close the tab, because those three things make me so happy that I keep rereading them! So I am going to post them here.

Three things making me happy at the moment:

1) Archery. I've been shooting poorly for the last six weeks, and I've had a bit of a shoulder problem, but just the last week my scores and my endurance levels have been back on the upswing, and I'm shooting better now than I ever have before, and oh, how I love my sport.

2) Preparing fruit and vegetables. All these lovely fruits are coming back into season, watermelon and strawberries and mango, and after I cut them up I like to look at them, all bright colours grouped together. Yesterday I was late home so I cooked a stirfry, and the strips of red capsicum next to the strips of carrot next to the bits of Chinese cabbage looked so bright and cheerful that it seemed almost a shame to throw them into the wok, but even when I did they were still bright and beautiful.

3) The Pretender. I've never loved a show so hard, or for so long*, as I have this one, and I wish there were more people who could enjoy it with me.

And please, tell me three things that are making you happy right now, flist!

* Aside from the Muppets, of course

1) Basketball. Basketball season is coming and I could not be more excited about it. I've been following basketball for 15 years which makes it my longest running fandom.

2)Peppermint Mochas. Peppermint Mochas taste like winter to me and, well, I do like winter.

3)Baking for other people. I find it relaxing.

1) It is snowing and I can just sit here and look at it be all pretty, instead of going out and getting my jeans wet up to the knees.
2) I have two orders for cupcakes for the next few weeks, for people I know well enough not to be all frazzled about making things perfect (er, in presentation. I'm always frazzled about making things taste perfect, even if I'm only doing stuff for myself.)
3) I have a new shelf-thingy that I'm going to set up just under my bedroom window, so the cats can sit on it and look out, and also to stash some of my books in (hopefully these won't turn out to be mutually exclusive, but if they do, I can keep double-stacking the existing shelves), and maybe a potted plant or two, since they'd actually be getting some light there.

1. Thank God You're Here.
2. Going running, and knowing the moment you start that it's going to be one of those days and hitting the 3km point with legs that feel like lead and calf muscles that are burning and still making it all the way home (1.5kms more) without stopping. And scoring five of your team's six goals at futsal.
3. Eating fruit salad (pineapple-watermelon-rockmelon) that is icy-cold mixed in with Weiss mango sorbet. Mmm. Summer.

3. tomorrow i will be going with Will to Brisvegas, to see my sister [livejournal.com profile] niz4, and we will fangirl Supernatural all weekend, and watch s2, and be complete dags!!! (and hopefully write fic!!)

1) The sun is out and the sky is a deep blue; no mean feat for the 1st day of November in Montreal, where it happened to have rained like every other day since mid-September this year.

2) Elizabeth is pregnant with Jason's baby on GH (US soap opera). I know, not so much excitement for you down under, but this was like one of my first OTP from more than 7 years ago, and hope springs eternal.

3) The dh bought a new panini machine for home, and I've been indulging in daily whole wheat wraps of roma tomatoes, sliced boccancini, basil, and oregano OR panini with grilled veggies and provolone when I get home from the office. YUM!

1. It's my birthday today.
2. Alec Newman (aka Paul Atreides) was in the newest episode of Spooks (5x09).
3. The weather is getting cold, which means I can wear my coats again. Plus, cold weather means Fall & Winter, which means Thanksgiving and eventually Christmas :)
