ten minutes ago:

Walking through the open air shopping complex, wearing shorts and a singlet top and bathers underneath, with thongs on feet (that's flip flops to Americans). Eating an icy pole, it's a 38C (100F) day, too hot to cook dinner, and the PA sings, in the lane snow is glistening.

icy pole

I have no idea what that is but it sounds kinda dirty. ;)

According to wiki, people from the US refer to them as 'popsicles.' It's so completely better than having an icecream when it's so bloody hot (as it is today).

I figured that they were popsicles. But what is fandom without the opportunity to take things out of context in the dirtiest way possible?

I love the really cheap ones that don't even have sticks but come in a long plastic tube. They taste like fake sugar and chemicals but the lime ones are suprisingly refreshing.

I just had a cold shower (dirty!) and Vegemite toast for dinner. Patriotic!

The whole icy pole/popsicle thing is yet another thing you've taught me, and for that, I thank you.

*also had to Google "singlet top"*

...

What do you call them, if not singlets?

I don't know, because I can't work out if they're the same as or different from tank tops. OR, are they camisole-type tank tops? *brain implosion*
