edmund for Lizzen
1. when the first cold wind blows down from the north, and he tastes the coming winter on his tongue, he shivers.
2. peter travels into battle once, twice, three times because he's the high king, but each time peter rides into battle, each time he is injured, fear stabs at edmund. he does not want to lose his brother. he has no wish to be high king in his brother's place.
3. when tumnus looks at lucy; when she grows, and the suitors who visit caer paravel are there for lucy, and not just for susan; when she rides into battle, her hair falling to her waist, and their enemies make comment inappropriate for a lady's ears; his hand falls on his sword and he draws, for his sister's honour.

duncan for Lizzen
1. as a child, he wanted to be a warrior. he never had any doubts.
2. he owes his life to the atreides.
3. he wishes he was dead. living and living and reliving is shit.

miss piggy still for Lizzen
1. she loved kermit from first sight.
2. every time she karate chops; every curse she yells and every career she shoots down: she does it for the women who aren't strong enough.
3. she donates ten percent of her earnings to women's organisations. she knows it's not enough, but a woman has to buy clothes and jewellery. she can't always have a frog around to do it for her.

3. when duncan idaho wakes for the third time, he opens his eyes and she is there to greet him with a smile. this is not a coincidence.

3. he didn't have a twin. he's a cylon, created by section (in conjunction with the centre).

lucy
1. lucy loves being queen. she loves riding her horse, her hair flying free behind her. she loves taking tea with tumnus, listening to his pipes and laughing at his stories. she loves dancing with susan's suitors, even when they call her dear girl and step on her toes. most of all, though, she loves walking through caer paravel and being beloved of a nation.
2. when the winds turn cold, she always watches edmund, and is careful not to leave his side. she watches for the flinch, the shiver, and throws her arms around him with unseemly haste; laughs into his shoulder and tickles his sides until he smiles, and she knows he will survive another winter.
3. she longs for aslan to return to them, but scolds herself when she catches herself thinking such thoughts. aslan is not a tame lion, she knows, and he will return in time.
4. she paints her toenails on cold nights when she is bored, cheerful reds and yellows. she paints edmund's, too.
5. she likes to sleep with five duvets piled above her in the winter, the fire roaring, and she thinks it only just warm enough.

jill
1. feels lost surrounded by the old kings and queens of narnia.
2. misses her parents.
3. does not understand aslan.
4. worries aslan will hear her thoughts and discard her from narnia.
5. finds she doesn't care, even if he should.
6. she knows she would miss eustace, though, for what is an adventure through foreign lands without your best friend by your side?
