Comment below with a song request that you think I'd be able to provide, something like 'a song that reminds you of someplace you went on holiday when you were little' or 'a song that never fails to give you the shivers when you listen to it' or 'a song in a language you don't speak but would like to learn'.

ACTUAL CONTENT:

I was doing that personal canon thing, and today I realised that one of Chloe Sullivan's slipped my mind, and it's this: in restaurants, in clothing stores, in life, Chloe makes her decisions fast, on the fly. She runs her finger down the menu, and is never torn by indecision: she makes her choice, and doesn't look back.

I've been idly reading Chloe/Lex fic the last couple of days, randomly OTPed as I was when I was doing the personal canon thing. I was struck by the fact that one author I was reading, I enjoyed some of her fic well enough, ill-written though it was, and couldn't finish others, and realised it was because I don't care to read high-school Chloe. I want to read about Chloe worldwise, weary; Chloe undercover in the seedy underbelly of Gotham (or Metropolis); Chloe at high class shindigs, pretending to shine on Lex's arm when what she's really doing is working it, doing her job and pushing him to the top.

Fic recs: here.

The relevant tag containing my fic and meta: here.

The fic I wrote last week: (not) the wrong girl.

Chlex was my first true OTP.
And now they are my second, since I have moved on to pilots, but still.
They have a warm place in my heart and it is nice to see someone who shares the belief that THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER.
And also that Chloe is her most sexy when being a badass, gritty realist.

So in conclusion, I have friended you.
Hi.

Hi.

They were totally meant for each other, in a controlling, who can come out the winner sort of way. I do talk about it from time to time! Not all the time, mind, but from time to time, so.

I hope to love pilots again one day, too. Have you just discovered their awesome?

I have! It's pretty glorious.
I stumbled upon the thought of BSG and then youtubed my heart out, ran across their 'Do I have to smack you in the mouth, Lt.?" scene, fell hard, watched the first episode that was on TV (WHICH WAS EYE OF JUPITER.), tried to follow along, and bought the DVDs as soon as I could.

I hope you find your love for them again, too.

How are you going exploring our little(ish) fandom? I suppose it's not so little anymore, but I always think of BSG that way. And when he asks, do i have to smack you in the mouth, adlskdfjalkdfj.oh.

You know, I do too! I think it's because while we see it's appeal, it still isn't mainstream enough to warrant the feeling of big fandoms.
AND OH GOD THAT SCENE. SDFJSAKLDA;SDKT INDEED.
Never has, "Do I have to smack you in the mouth?" been uttered in a more BLATANTLY SEXUAL MANNER EVER EVER EVER.
I don't know if that was how Lee was supposed to say it or if it was just Jamie or what, but dayum.
Anyway, it's really been fun. Every new fic I read is...just.
I don't even know.
I'm just really glad I found it.
