It occurs to me as I walk out the door to this con that I may find myself bored occasionally. Not all the time, as if I was bored all the time then I'd be doing something wrong, but five minutes here and five minutes there is a possibility.

AS SUCH:

Leave an idea for a drabble/ficlet. Yes, I know that there is fic that I'm supposed to be working on, but big stuff like that I need my laptop and to not be at a con, so those things are on hold until next week.

Character(s)/prop/situation(location) OR a quote of some sort. I don't care if you're not on my flist, but I'm not making any promises that I'll actually write anything.

Fandoms I'll currently write: BSG, HP, L&O:SVU, The Pretender, PotC, Narnia, Firefly.

Have a good one.

I vote for Battlestar Galactica fic, personally. Kara, Lee, Adama, Six, Baltar, Boomer... Using any of the following as inspiration.

Quotes: (ok, so I have the playlist of DOOM. And this is even chopped down! And mostly random! *loves her playlist/musicwhoretastes so*)
"He can't remember waking up so he refuses to believe that he ever was asleep and he's exhausted" (Something for Kate 'Feeding the Birds and Hoping for Something in Return')
*gets distracted whilst flipping through her playlist and bops to Belly's 'Dusted'*
"On your third broken window, hair full of glass. Throw your clothes in the hallway, just a sheet on your back." (Belly 'Super-Connected')
"Your image is your invitation. There's no time for sleep." (Orgy 'The Odyssey')
I'd quote the whole of The Cardigans' 'For What It's Worth' (a fabulous angst song), but I'm nice.
"Now that the thrill of the massacre's over, isn't it sweet when she sucks on your veins?" (Tea Party 'Babylon')
"When I look back upon my life, it's always with a sense of shame. I've always been the one to blame" (the sad thing is that I don't HAVE this song on mp3. Pet Shop Boys 'It's a Sin')
"The chemicals between us, the walls the lie between us, lying in this bed." (Bush 'The Chemicals Between')
"I always thought I'd jump at the chance. Turns out I don't know how." (Lori Carson 'Something's Got Me')

OMG you never listen to anything I say. did you miss the point of this post which was to give me inspiration AT THE CON? And as you are not here, I don't see how I can possibly write them with you.

Unless we write via SMS.

I do too listen. I can't very well NOT. It's the ignoring I'm getting better at. ;)

Via a psychic link?

Unless we write via SMS.

Oh wait, this plan is flawed because you SMSed FIC to your BROTHER instead of to ME.

Oh, god. I hope not.

I don't think I did, actually, because my phone went back to that message after it 'sent', whereas normally it cleared the screen. So I don't THINK it sent at all.

OMG WHAT IF I SENT MY BROTHER KARA/LEE SMUT. I am SO DEAD.

Have I mentioned lately how much you smell?

Can you? You seem a little uptight about it...

Have I mentioned lately how much you smell?

Yes. But apparently you keep me around for my brilliance.

And I just want to say that Alanis Morrissette either has NO IDEA what irony is, or is that master of it.

Are crossover suggestions okay, or is this strictly a one fandom thing?

Lee/Inara. She makes him see the obvious and encourages him to finally DO something about it (poor bastard).

You don't know me, I just scampered in from friendsfriends pages....I love your banner for both it's gorgeous graphics and the absolutely fantastic songs lyrics. Missy Higgins rocks my world.

I'd love to see what you could do with Kara and "When you're young you have this image of your life: That you'll be scrupulous and one day even make a wife. And you make boundaries you'd never dream to cross,
And if you happen to you wake completely lost" from 'The Special Two' by Missy Higgins....

Have fun at the con,
:)

OOoooo!! Firefly/BSG!!!!!

"When done with me/Forget if you think I feel ashamed/A wild thing/Never felt sorry for anything"

Mal/Kara action makes me happy... Inara/Kara action would probably make me happy too.

And some day (not necessarily in a fic involving Mal/Kara), Cally should meet Kaylee. I think they'd get on.

BSG, preferably Kara/Lee, but Lee/Cally or Kara/Helo or some combination of the above is fine, too.

"I've been bad, but I'm so good to you."
"There's a passion burning in my veins. I feel it pulsing like a run-away train."
"There's a thunder in the words you cry. Who's to blame? -the accusations fly. It doesn't matter if it's me or if it's you."

I am sorely tempted to make you write a crossover Helo/Stabler fic. Yeah, I dunno. I just am. They're both all relationship-messed-up and protectey and, I dunno. Uh, prompts: dripping and cold; which could be either place, I reckon.

Yeah. Do that.

Starbuck post-KLG, part 2 fic...

Date: 2005-03-24 01:15 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] nemesina77.livejournal.com
I've been listening to Ingram Hill and they have this song "Will I Ever Make It Home," and it makes me think of Starbuck stranded on Caprica. So now I'm craving a "Starbuck after KLG,Part 2, wishing she was back on the Galactica" fic, maybe with a little "missing Lee" stuff too!

Here's a few of my favorite lyrics from it that seem Starbuck-ish:

Will I ever make it home
Will I ever leave the ground
Leave this place so far behind

To the place I recognize

Get to where I wanna be
Find the ones who wait for me
To the place where I belong
