yuletide and other miscellany
Nov. 2nd, 2004 06:14 pmI've done my bit for small and unusual fandoms today by signing up for
yuletide, which makes me very excited. I really really (as per usual) hope to write something about Narnia (we're not supposed to say what we asked for or volunteered for, but I think it's fairly obvious that I like writing about Narnia).
Today I was toying with the idea of writing some original fiction. Obviously not just now, as I have assignments to be getting on with, but perhaps over summer. I had an idea, anyway. And was thinking about a comment Tom made some time ago.
But hmm.
Fic tomorrow, I think. Perhaps. If I get it written, in between frantically working on assignments.
This site has translations of the names of HP characters in to other languages. It claims that Lord Voldemort is shen mi ren or mysterious person in Chinese, as a translation of You-know-who. That's 神秘人, although it's nice to note that 谜 means 'riddle.' The page as a whole would be a lot more useful if it used characters more often, rather than only in the bit about translations of book titles.
This was a non-post.
