Of the Day's Annoyances, These:


1. i have so many works in progress, i appear to have lost count. off the top of my head: a fic that's mostly about rachel dawes, but sometimes about bruce wayne; a thing about cylons; the fic wherein ben gets kara pregnant; five berths; the mirrormask/sandman/constantine crossover.
   
2. what i really want to write, right now, is john shepperd/teyla emmagen. i know, right? WTF. i really want to write it, but i feel like my grasp on the characters is too loose, too informed by fictions of dubious quality, so i don't feel like i can write them and write them well.
   
3. i spent some time composing a list of crack fic AUs that i love very much, and called for the favourites of others, but only two people left me recs. and also some poodles rambled incoherently for a bit in the comments, but i am used to that. does nobody else in fandom enjoy crackfic AUs? i find that hard to believe.

I've seen/read/mocked far too many examples of badly-done abuses of existing canon to really be interested in AU stuff.
