oh oops!

The BSG/crossover ficathon is now open for signups! To sign up, read the list below, select the prompt you would like to write, and then post a comment in the following format:

Name:
Prompt:

That's it! Stories are due August 24th. No word count minimum.

Because you're not writing for a specific person, once you've claimed a prompt, feel free to modify it slightly if you need to. You know. This is a pretty laid back ficathon. OR, if you really want to write a crossover, but none of the ones here take your fancy, write a crossover anyway not based on these prompts and I'll include it in the masterlist at the end of it all anyway. Because the point of all this is to get more crossovers written in BSG, not to write gifts for other participants (unlike many ficathons, is what I mean) (not that I'm bagging those sorts of ficathons! They're great, too!).

The List:

24

BSG/24
Jack is a cylon(sleeper agent). He is acknowledged for some great deed and now he has to save the world in 24 hours. Will he succeed or fail? It's all up to you. Optional romance.

Alias

BSG/Alias - Sark/Six or Sydney/Lee

Babylon 5

Babylon 5. Nothing past season 3.5ish. I think Starbuck and Ivanova butting heads would be a riot. Meanwhile, Apollo and Marcus can get plastered and commiserate about how their-but-not-theirs tough women run all over them.

Big Love

Big Love (since you mentioned it!)
Prompt: The colonials settle on Earth, in a compound-like reservation in Utah. The Mormons are intrigued by their wacky religion. Optionally, girlslash of any variety would be nice.

Commander In Chief

BSG/Commander in Chief
Pairings: Roslin/Mackenzie (or, Jayne/Tori)
The colonials find Earth, but things end up being more problematic than they'd hoped.

CSI

BSG/CSI: Las Vegas
Pairing: Nick/Greg
CSIs stuck in the fleet, trying to do their jobs.

Dr Who

BSG/ Doctor Who
Pairing: Doctor Who/ anyone
The Doctor is on the trail of a Cylon.

Doctor Who: Ten/Roslin. Because they would have delightful, "I look like a young Scottish man who likes the middle-aged va-jay-jay!" and "Mmm, cute young things" hubristic mastermind sex.

BSG/Dr. Who
Captain Jack meets the Cylons. Flirting, hijinks, near death experiences, oh my!

BSG/Doctor Who - Ten & Rose land on New Caprica, during the missing year
Helo/Rose, shore leave
Kara/Jack, on Cloud Nine after the attack

Farscape

BSG/Farscape: Wormhole opens and Moya appears with full compliment of Farscape crew... have fun with them. Would love some fun friendship between Kara and Chiana or John and Baltar. lots of love if 1812 gets thrown in :)

Jossverse

BSG/Angel or Buffy
One of the BtVS/AtS girls (Willow, Dawn, or Cordy please) falls through a portal and ends up in the CIC.

BSG/Firefly
Pairings:Tyrol/Kaylee
I was thinking that Serenity crew interacts with BSG crew, figure out something's weird. Perhaps the BSG crew ends up being cylons. Or something.

BSG/Firefly
Pairing: Jayne, Starbuck (not necessarily Jayne/Starbuck, but that's cool too; they're kicking ass, taking names). Other characters are fine too.
Reavers, Cylons: We all have a different worst nightmare.

Firefly. Inara/Helo. and/or Jayne/Apollo. Because, Woof.

BSG/Firefly
Kara and Lee on Serenity, with bonus points for River being crazy.

Highlander

BSG/ Highlander
Pairings: Methos/Lee, and/or Methos/Kara
Methos chases an Immortal to BSG and comes up against Lee and Kara - who like to discourage beheadings in their territory.

House

BSG/House
Doctors in space, trying to do their jobs with rapidly disappearing supplies.

La Femme Nikita

La Femme Nikita. While trying to find the other Cylons in the fleet, Michael and/or Nikita are accused of being Cylons themsel{f,ves}.

The Matrix

BSG/The Matrix
Kara and Trinity commiserating about being kickass women

Neil Gaiman universe

BSG/ Neil Gaiman-verse (no prompt specified)

RPF

RPF
Prompt: The Fleet arrives at Earth, and are taken by the Scientologists to be a religious event or sign. Somewhere in the course of the ensuing theological melee, Starbuck rescues Katie Holmes and baby TomKat from the clutches of the cult!

Rome

Rome
Prompt: Ritual sacrifice, political intrigue, and slavery. The Romans welcome the return of the thirteenth tribe, but primitive Earth isn't the paradise the colonials imagined.

Roswell

BSG/Roswell (no prompt specified)

Space: 1999

Space:1999. 'cause when you're wandering around in the middle of nowhere, trying to find a big blue ball, you can use all the moral support you can find. Even if it includes flared disco pants. Bonus points for Tony's beer, Alan trying to fly a viper, and mousy little Sandra hooking up with anyone of the writer's chosing.

Stargate

BSG/ SGA
Pairing: Rodney/ Starbuck
Starbuck can't decide whether to punch him or fuck him.

BSG/SG-1
(Pre-Season 9) SG-1 stumbles into the BSG universe and one is seperated from the group (Carter, maybe?) and accused of being a cylon (prior to the invention of the cylon detector). The team must 1) convince or prove that they are human, and 2) figure out how to get home. Points for including Jacob and Sam/Jack in the story.

BSG/Stargate Atlantis: The Fleet jumps into the Pegasus galaxy, see a viable planet, go down to pick up supplies and run into the SG-A team. Bonus points if Rodney makes Baltar look like an idiot and doesn't manage to get killed by anyone. More points if Kara and John have a contest to see who is the better pilot.

Star Trek

ST: Voyager
pairing:Janeway/Adama, Sr. or Janeway/Roslin
Prompt: Galactica stumbles into the Delta Quadrant and meet Voyager, Bill and Kathryn bond over the demands of keeping everyone safe. Or Kathryn and Laura bond over being women in charge. or both.

ST: Voyager
Pairing: Roslin/Janeway
Prompt: The Fleet jumps into the Delta Quadrant. All of them are searching for home.

ST: Voyager
Pairing: Six/Seven or Seven/Eight or even Six/Seven/Eight (and OK, I already (did it, but I want MORE)
Prompt: The Borg meet the Cylons. Do they join forces in pursuit of the destruction of humanity, or find themselves unlikely enemies?

ST: DS9
Adama & Sisko just talking, about herding their respective cats [ie. being the leaders of a motley crew of semi-military & non-military, with their respective wars and battles, military and personal]

ST: DS9
Jadzia (no Ezri, please) and Sharon getting philisophical

ST: DS9
Tyrol and O'Brien getting geeky on each other. Maybe all over each other. Hmmmmm.

Supernatural

BSG/ Supernatural
Pairings: Sam/ Dean, Sam and Dean
There's a demon on the fleet - or is it a Cylon? Sam and Dean to the rescue!

Veronica Mars

BSG/Veronica Mars (no prompt specified)

BSG/Veronica Mars - Lee/Veronica friendship, solving a mystery

The West Wing

West Wing
Pairing: Roslin/CJ and/or Roslin/Abbey
Prompt: National Security, a cover-up, and a broken high heel. How you cross it over is up to you.

X Files

BSG/The X-Files
Characters/Pairings: Krycek, any
Krycek is a cylon.

BSG/The X-files
I see Kara snarking on Mulder. Sorry, all I got. :)

X-Men

BSG/X-Men
Characters/Pairing: Roslin/Xavier (no, really)
Xavier reveals himself to Roslin as a mutant for the greater good, Roslin discovers that a telepath makes interrogations/negotiations a helluva lot easier.

BSG/X-Men
Character: Storm
Storm doesn't do well off-planet, so what's a weather witch to do when there is no more weather or planet for that matter?

BSG/X-Men
Character/Pairings: Kara/Logan
Logan has a hard time explaining how he can 'smell a Cylon a mile away'.

Awesome. Because if canon doesn't impede my creative process, word count seems to.

Can multiple people take the same prompt? Just curious! I'd hate for someone else not to be able to take this prompt if they really wanted it.

Also, due on Aug 24 - does that mean we post on that day? Or just due before then? I will not have access to the internet around that time, so I'd like to post beforehand (or rather late), if that's all right.

Just around then - I mean, if you finish two weeks before then, or a month before then, feel free to post!

And these prompts are so open to interpretation, I think it'd be terrible not to let people share them. Some really awesome things could come of it.

The start of my BSG/Voyager Crossover fic "Flying Colours" is now posted to my LJ. It's pretty long and technically still a work in progress, but it's almost finished. The first three parts are posted and the next three will be ready to go within the next day--it's just a matter of finding the time to post.

This way to "Flying Colours Part 1: Working Lunch"
